OAR star also All-Star Forward

Following the gold medal game the award winners and All-Star Team has been announced.

The media representatives at the 2018 Olympic Men’s Ice Hockey Tournament voted Russian forward Ilya Kovalchuk as Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament. He had five goals and seven points in the Olympic Athletes from Russia gold-medal run.

The tournament directorate with representatives of the 12 teams, the IIHF and the organizer voted his teammate Nikita Gusev as Best Forward. Their teammate Vyacheslav Voinov was voted Best Defenceman and also made it to the All-Star Team.

The award for the Best Goaltender went to Germany’s Danny aus den Birken while Olympic Athlete of Russia Vasili Koshechkin was voted onto the media All-Star Team.
